Pelé is the most-known soccer player of the world. Every single human that heard about soccer knows that Pelé is the best soccer player ever.
He got famous playing for Santos Futebol Clube and the Brazilian national team.

Playing for the Brazilian national team, among many international titles, he participated and won 3 world cups. When he won his first world cup in 1958, he was only 16 years old and he was the best player of the cup. His second participation in 1962 was interrupted by an injury in the first game. After a very bad brazilian participation in England '66, Pelé got back with full power in 1970 and was consecrated the athlete of the century. |
When he started to play for Santos he was very unknown and the his team was not so feared. So he began to play and the history of Santos and the brazilian soccer started to change. Change to better. He won the paulista league title for more than 10 times, the brazilian championship for 5 times in a row, south american (copa libertadores) for 2 times and world champs 2 times. This is only 1% of the titles of Santos Futebol Clube. |
Always feared playing for any team, Pelé was the greatest topscorer of the paulista league, he was the goal leader for 10 times, and in 1958, it's true, he scored 58 goals!!!
